Avant Theatre Awards
It is with great pleasure and honour that Mr G Selva, the Founder and Director of Avant Theatre, under the auspices of Avant Theatre and Language recognizes the efforts and dedicated performance by individuals who have served the Singapore Tamil Theatre Fraternity over the years when Mr Selva was exploring the Singapore Theatre scene from 1980s.
In gratitude and in appreciation for being an inspiration for making his professional career in Arts, about 50 awards are awarded to individuals and organizations as part of Avant Theatre’s 20th Anniversary celebration (2011 – 2021).
Avant Theatre & Language turns 20, in 2021. Avant Theatre was started in 2001 in Melbourne, Australia and later incepted in Singapore in 2011. These have been nothing but glorious two decades of theatre production and theatrical events in both English and Tamil.
To commemorate this milestone, we have lined up an array of celebratory productions and events.
